Description
This Golden Mantled Ground Squirrel ran into our gallery in Taos and wouldn’t leave for a couple weeks. We got a live trap and the ladies at the gallery kept putting grapes and granola in the trap. The trap was for a regular sized squirrel and this guy would run in, eat all the food then go hide. It was all fun til it started chewing through power cords and was pooping all over. I was working the gallery one day, he came out and just sat there staring at me. I took a photo and painting this while sitting at the gallery.
