David Sockrider is a life-long arttist, designer and illustrator. Currently a full-time Ward, Colorado based artist and live painter, he has painted hundreds of live concerts and events. In the studio, David has been creating large, more time intensive work focusing on nature, animals, and beautiful color palettes. Recent projects include commissioned paintings displayed at the Trading Post Nature Center at Red Rocks Amphitheater. Favorite subjects are Colorado mountain wildlife, the high country enviroment and fantasy scenes of imagination. With bright colors, spirals, color bands, and dot patterns, David aspires to create scenes that inspire positive, inspiring feelings in his viewers.
Inspirational styles include: Art Nouveau, Psychedelic Art, Concert Poster Art, Low Brow Pop Surrealism, Visionary, Abstract, Realism and Impressionism. Influential artists include Albert Bierstadt, Fredrich Sackrider Remington, Jackson Pollock, Van Gogh, James Jean, Audry Kawasaki, Robert Williams, and Frank Frazetta among others.ย
